We are looking for a well organised and motivated Solar PV Designer to join our expanding renewable energy business based in Great Dunmow, Essex.
Elevate Envirotech is a thriving renewable energy solution provider, delivering commercial and domestic solutions to our clients. Our core solutions include solar PV, heat pumps, solar thermal, electric vehicle charging points and battery storage.
As part of our exciting growth, we are looking for a Solar PV Designer to join our busy team. Previous knowledge and experience of designing solar PV systems will be essential so that you can hit the ground running when you join us.
Your key responsibilities as Solar PV Designer will include;
- Liaising with survey team to ensure that you have all the information you need to design the solar PV systems
- Attend on-site surveys with domestic and commercial solar PV clients
- Request quotes from suppliers
- Collaborate with internal colleagues to maximise business opportunities
- Work with external stakeholders such as structural engineers and sub-contractors
- Design most appropriate solar photovoltaic solution for our customers
- Create wiring diagrams and solar PV system design documents as required
- Produce solar PV designs incorporating battery design
- Keep up to date with solar PV industry technical developments to ensure Envirotech remains at the cutting edge of the solar PV and renewable energy industry
- Be the company’s in house solar PV technical guru and solar PV champion
It’s likely that you will have the following skills and experience;
- Collaborative team player but with ability to work on your own when required
- Self-motivated with a great work ethic and a can-do attitude
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Acute attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels, including clients
- Background or experience in electrical engineering, electrical design, M&E design or similar
- Technical understanding and knowledge of solar PV design
